Silver Shadow History

The Silver Cloud III, the predecessor  "followed" by a Shadow

Following the "Silver Cloud Era" (1955-1965), the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and Bentley T  model was launched in Paris in 1965 and marked a revolutionary step forward. The new car was the first to feature monocoque construction, independent suspension and four wheel disc brakes. Both the Silver Shadow and Bentley T had the same general specification and design and remained in production until 1980.

 

 

The last car build based upon this model was the Corniche S in 1995. By that time a total of 40,556 cars with 29 different models had been produced, including:
